We’re back from three wonderful days at Hotel Zürserhof on the beautiful Arlberg (a thorough report about our stay there will follow soon!) and I honestly fell in love with winter all over again. Perfect timing, since Salzburg is covered in a beautiful layer of snow now, too! Although I’ve always considered myself more of a summer person, I do appreciate living in a country with changing seasons very much. Winter is usually a bit tricky for me because I’m basically freezing all the time, but I’ve learned the hacks on staying warm over the years. One of them definitely is layering. Putting on multiple layers is the best way to stay warm and adjust your outfit quickly once you’re inside. Another trick that works very well for me – as probably for most other people too – is covering my head with a beanie. Once my head feels warm and fluffy, the rest of my body feels a lot warmer too. It also hides bad hair days, which is very convenient in winter, right!? I wore this outfit (+ a thick winter jacket, of course) for brunch and a little walk on the weekend and it worked perfectly well for both occasions. By the way – I can highly recommend the Isabel Marant Nowles Boots for winter. They are amongst the warmest shoes in my closet (equally warm as my Uggs!) and although they have a concealed wedge of about 7 cm, they are super comfortable to walk in – even for longer tours.
