Spring cravings

Oh well, I know it’s only the 1st of February which means: Spring is officially another 48 days away, but I just can’t wait for it anymore. As much as I love winter, and also the amount of snow we got during the past 3 weeks, I think I’m craving spring more than ever. I’m sick of my winter coat (which I usually love wearing), I’m sick of my ultra warm winter shoes, and I’m sick of all the dirt that’s on the streets now that the snow turned from a beautiful white layer of pure powder into grey dirt. Also, I’m sick of all the pebble stones and salt that’s on the streets at the moment, which make it so hard and uncomfortable for Maxi to walk… But, I tell myself to have courage to accept the things I can’t change and make the best of it. Lucky enough, Madame Kukla surprised me with one of their famous “Kuklas”. This piece is truly magic – it can be worn in countless ways; as a vest, as a dress, as a skirt… you can be totally creative with it and come up with your own way of wearing it. Since I’ve been a big fan of the layering trend this winter, I decided to simply throw it over my outfit as some kind of (warming) cape. I embraced the cold for a few short minutes and got out of my coat to shoot those photos, pretending it was spring already. Who knows… maybe wearing spring-like colors like these nude tones will lure the warmer weather out of its hideout. It’s worth trying, right?
