The Lara Bag
When it comes to bags I’m definitely someone who likes to splurge. That being said, I choose quality over quantity when buying a bag. I’m still madly in love with my Valentino bag I’ve bought this year and almost wear it on a daily basis. However, with all the things I have to carry around some days – starting with a laptop, a camera, stuff for Maxi and what not – sometimes a purse just doesn’t offer enough space. I’ve been looking for a classic shopper I can take to the office and to shootings, so I was very excited when I found the Marc O’Polo Lara Bag. Its natural leather gives the Lara Bag a vintage look, which is great because it means you won’t cry in case the leather gets more scratches over the years. I also love the cognac color which gives the bag a genuinely classic look, easily combinable with most outfits. But shoppers don’t just need to look good, they also have to offer great functionality: The removable shoulder straps and the compact format of the bag make it very comfortable to carry around. Since I’m not the biggest fan of heavily branded items, I personally appreciate it a lot that the Marc O’Polo branding in metal lettering is very subtle. And another cute fact: each bag has its own number stamped into the leather which makes it unique.
As far as I am concerned, I think a cool bag makes the outfit. A simple white dress is easily dressed up if combined with an eye-catching bag. Over the years I’ve gathered some bags that I love dearly, even though some of them don’t make it out of their dust bags anymore. I would never give them away though, because I’m sure one day they will be have their comeback. Or I’ll just pass them on, like my mom passed on her Chanel bag to me.
