If you guys have been reading my blog for a while, you’ll probably know I’m by no means a beauty blogger. As much as I admire beautiful makeup (and all my talented colleagues who come up with the most beautiful makeup tutorials all the time), I’m just very basic when it comes to my daily make up.

To me personally, my make up has to be two things: Natural and easy. I do love adding some bright lipstick to my routine every now and then, and I also love trying out new products. But overall, my daily make up always looks the same.

But – and here’s the big BUT – whenever Chanel releases their new make up collection of the season, I’m all ears and get excited like a little kid. I think this excitement is deeply rooted in my DNA, because my Mom has loved Chanel beauty products as long as I can remember. Plus, the packaging design and the quality of the products is one of a kind!

So when the latest Chanel make up collection arrived at my office last week, I fell in love with it right away. I think it’s safe to say that this has been my most favorite Chanel make up collection of all time. The collection is called Desert Dream, and the name could not be more fitting. Chanel’s ‘Desert Dream’ makeup collection for Spring/Summer 2020 is a palette of bronze, muted pinks, dusty mauves, and soft browns with pops of peach and rosy tones, with both matte and shimmery finishes that celebrate the dramatic desert landscape’s textures. The colors have been inspired by the way the light hits the landscape and the natural, raw beauty of the desert. Do I need to say more?

Long story short: The collection features the most incredible highlighting powder, a glow stick that’s out of this world, my new go-to lipstick for spring, a super beautiful and easy-to-use eye-pencil, and many more products that are about to become my new favorites.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve been THAT excited about make-up products. I simply love the colors, the textures, and the fact that you can use one single product for many areas of your face – but see for yourself:
