About Volants, Spring Trends And Being Fashionable
When it comes to fashion there’s hardly anything I do not like about. Ever since I can remember I loved browsing my Mom’s magazines like Vogue or InStyle, checking out all the fashionistas and their styles and reading everything about trends for the next season. I also remember how much I loved to score pieces at Zara or H&M that looked like those expensive things I saw in said magazines. And to be honest, nothing has really changed since then. The only thing that’s different today: I am not chasing every trend anymore. Over the past years I’ve kind of figured out which kind of styles I like, and what’s really “me”. I think that has a lot to do with growing up of course, but it also has to do with finding out who you really are. I’m not saying everyone should find their one and only style and stick to that – experimenting with fashion is the whole fun, and dressing according to one’s mood is key. But I think it’s totally okay to just skip some trends if they don’t appeal to you. It won’t make you less stylish, on the contrary, I think it makes someone even more fashionable. There’s no reason to buy that one jumper or dress seen all over Instagram and on Blogs lately, if you feel like it’s not 100% you. Some trends will speak to you, others won’t – easy as that.
One of this year’s Spring trends however basically screamed my name: Volants. I simply adore those voluminous blouses and would not mind owning one in every color. That’s also why this cute white Mango blouse just recently moved into my closet. Be prepared to see it a lot over here – it’s a big love affair already.
What do you think about this trend? Is it something you’ll go for this Spring?
