You guys, it’s the week of big news! There’s something I’m really excited to tell you about:
I’m starting a podcast!
Since the beginning of the year I’ve been playing around with the idea of starting my own podcast. You probably wonder why… The answer to that is quite straight forward though: I simply love podcasts. First of all, they are super easy to consume: No matter if you’re under the shower, on the way to work, or while you’re doing your chores. It’s a very simple and low effort way of learning, giving your mind something to process, or simply listen to topics of your interest.
Secondly, it’s something I’ve been quite nervous to do in the first place. It’s this overwhelming feeling you get when you’re doing something for the first time, still not quite sure how to do it at all, but once you tackle that obstacle, you feel more pumped and proud than ever. When you have an idea in your head and start thinking about it more and more, you’ll realize that you simply have to do it at some point. There is no way around it. If you don’t do it, you’ll forever ask yourself “what if”. You know how they say: “Better an oops than what if.” I’d sign that right away.
I had the same feeling when I started this blog in the first place. Starting a blog is hard, starting a podcast is hard. As a matter of fact, starting anything is rough and can get tiring quite quickly. With a goal in mind, lots of willpower and the right people by your side, it’s doable though. And it’s so worth it!
This being said, I’d like this podcast to be the next level of content I produce for you. I’ll address topics that don’t get the amount of space they actually deserve on Instagram and Co.; I’d like for you to get to know me better, and most of all, my goal is to motivate you to believe in yourself and the dreams you have. We’ll talk about all different kinds of things that come to my mind: Some episodes will be a monologue I have with myself, and sometimes I’ll interview inspiring people who will hopefully give us thrilling insights about their life, job, anything they do and how they turned their dreams into reality. It will be like having a casual coffee with someone you find inspiring and have always wanted to ask a few questions.
Furthermore, I’d especially like to talk to women who run their own business and started off as entrepreneurs. The importance of women in the field of entrepreneurship is very crucial, and having power girls in your life you can look up to, connect with and share experiences with is the most important support that has helped me (and is still helping me every day) to dare a leap into self-employment at all.
This might come as a shocker to some of you, but I decided to create this podcast in German and therefor dedicate it to all my German speaking readers and followers. After all, German is my mother tongue (although my Dad raised me in English), and the German language plays a very important role in my life. Considering your feedback to the question whether I should do my Instagram stories in German or English, the majority voted for German – so here you go! (side note: as far you can consider my mixed up Austrian dialect as German)
So here’s to the adventure podcast! I’m not sure where this adventure will lead me, but neither was I sure where starting my own blog would lead me, and looking back at everything that has happened so far, I only know that it’s been the best decision of my life to put my dreams into action. So let’s see where I’ll end up this time.
I’m really excited about this new little project and can’t wait for your feedback! At this point I’d like to give my friends from Raven & Finch the biggest shoutout; without these two wonderful souls the project “Coffee Talk” would not have been possible at all. You guys rock!
Now enough with the talking, it’s time to tune into episode #0 of my podcast. By the way, you can also listen to it (and of course subscribe to it – which would make me very happy) on Spotify and iTunes.
PS: If you feel like sharing your entrepreneurial story with me (and the audience), please don’t hesitate to drop me a message. I’d love to hear about it and invite you to a Coffee Talk with me!
